Report: Josh Gordon could be reinstated by training camp
Suspended New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon has a chance to be reinstated in time for training camp ahead of the 2019 season, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Gordon remains in an inpatient drug treatment facility in Gainesville, Fla., while under indefinite suspension by the league for multiple violations of his previous reinstatement under the substance abuse policy.
The former All-Pro wideout is reportedly doing much better after hitting "rock-bottom" this season, Rapoport adds.
Gordon will turn 28 ahead of the 2019 campaign. He started 11 games for the Patriots following a trade from the Cleveland Browns in September and caught 40 of 68 targets for 720 yards and three touchdowns.
He'll receive a championship ring if the Patriots beat the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl LIII on Sunday.
