Former Green Bay Packers head coach Mike McCarthy is pursuing a job with one team only: the New York Jets.
McCarthy does not want to be considered for any other head coach vacancy, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, citing a source.
McCarthy recently interviewed with the Jets, who have also been linked to Kliff Kingsbury, Matt Rhule, and Todd Monken in their coaching search. The Arizona Cardinals hired Kingsbury as their head coach Tuesday.
Just five NFL head coaching roles remain unfilled and they're all in the AFC. The Jets, Cincinnati Bengals, Denver Broncos, Cleveland Browns, and Miami Dolphins have yet to hire new bench bosses.
