Less than 24 hours after Canada made the first four cuts to its world junior roster, six more players got the bad news Friday night.
The team released defensemen Jacob Bernard-Docker, Pierre-Olivier Joseph, Nicolas Beaudin, forwards Isaac Ratcliffe and Liam Foudy, and goaltender Matt Villalta, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
That means Canada's defense corps for the tournament is now set.

Meanwhile, the dismissal of Villalta means Michael DiPietro and Ian Scott will man the crease for the Canadians.
McKenzie also reported Friday that Senators prospect Alex Formenton will miss the tournament after suffering a knee injury in Thursday night's tune-up game against the U Sports All-Stars.
The team must now make one more cut at forward before the roster deadline on Dec. 25. McKenzie notes that decision may not be made immediately as Canada will play three pre-tournament games against Switzerland, Slovakia, and Finland next week.
Canada opens the tournament on Boxing Day against Denmark.
