Mike Tyson says he got high on marijuana before squaring off against Andrew Golota in the "Showdown in Motown" on Oct. 20, 2000.
In an interview on "The Dan Patrick Show," the former world heavyweight champion said the Golota bout was the only time he smoked pot before one of his fights. When asked how it affected him, Tyson replied, "It didn't affect me, it affected Golota."

Tyson scored a third-round technical knockout, but it was later changed to a no contest when he tested positive for marijuana after the fight. He also had his Michigan boxing license suspended for 90 days for refusing to submit a pre-fight urine test.
In his 2013 memoir, "Undisputed Truth," Tyson blamed the positive test on not having a chance to get his "whizzer" from a member of his team. The device was loaded with clean urine and used to pass drug tests.
