Baker Mayfield made it clear Sunday on the field - and then off of it - he had no interest in reminiscing about old times with former Cleveland Browns head coach Hue Jackson.

After the Browns finished defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, where Jackson is now an assistant coach, Mayfield denied his ex-coach's attempt for a hug near midfield.

"It was brief," the rookie quarterback said of the exchange with Jackson. "Didn't feel like talking."

While he appeared to give Jackson the cold shoulder, Mayfield gladly exchanged pleasantries with several other Bengals.

"Left Cleveland, goes down to Cincinnati," Mayfield said of Jackson. "It's just somebody that was in our locker room asking us to play for him, and then goes to a different team we play twice a year. Everybody can have their spin on it, but that's how I feel."

Mayfield went 19-of-26 for 258 yards and four touchdowns against the Bengals, who named Jackson a defensive assistant Nov. 12, two weeks after his firing from the Browns.

The No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 draft said before the game that Jackson would have no impact on Sunday's result.
