Report: Angels, Brewers among teams interested in Happ

The market for left-handed starter J.A. Happ is looking like a busy one with six teams reportedly interested in signing the southpaw, according to Jon Morosi of MLB.com.

The Los Angeles Angels, Milwaukee Brewers, Philadelphia Phillies, and Houston Astros are reportedly considering Happ while his two most recent teams - the Toronto Blue Jays and New York Yankees - have already expressed their desires to reunite with him.

The Angels and Brewers both have glaring weaknesses in their respective rotations. The Phillies' starters are all right-handed so Happ would provide a little diversity. The Astros are without Lance McCullers Jr. for 2019 after Tommy John surgery and just had Dallas Keuchel and Charlie Morton hit free agency.

Happ, 36, started his career with the Phillies and also played for the Astros for parts of three seasons. He made his first All-Star team appearance in 2018 and finished the season 17-6 with a 3.65 ERA and 1.13 WHIP while striking out 193 batters over 177 2/3 innings.
