Mathews caught four passes for a team-high 47 yards Saturday at Notre Dame.
Analysis:
A performance that came out of nowhere, as Mathews entered the contest with three catches and 29 yards all season. Pittsburgh has only six touchdown passes all year and quarterback Kenny Pickett hasn't topped 200 yards to date, showing how little upside there is in this passing game. Consider this a serious outlier for Mathews.
