The Minnesota Timberwolves have canceled practice Thursday and will not be available for media members, according to The Athletic's Jon Krawczynski.
The decision to cancel practice comes a day after disgruntled star Jimmy Butler returned to the team and verbally confronted several members of the Timberwolves - including Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Wiggins, and head coach Tom Thibodeau - during a scrimmage. Butler then took to ESPN to speak to Rachel Nichols about his reported trade demands and his emotional outburst.
Thibodeau has recently commented on how Minnesota's preseason schedule has given the team limited time to practice before its season opener Wednesday against the San Antonio Spurs.
