The curse against Aaron Sanchez's pitching hand lives on.

The Toronto Blue Jays right-hander, who made just eight starts in 2017 due to lingering blister issues, hit the shelf again in June with more finger problems. On Wednesday, the 26-year-old revealed the unfortunate cause of his most recent injury.

Sanchez lasted a single inning in his appearance against the Los Angeles Angels, and even though the Blue Jays were hopeful it would cost him only one start, he's been on the DL ever since.

In his second consecutive injury-riddled season, Sanchez has a 3-5 record while posting a 4.52 ERA and 67 strikeouts in 79 2/3 innings.
