Bad blood between Cleveland Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson and Golden State Warriors All-Star Draymond Green carried over from the NBA Finals to a private ESPY's after-party hosted by LeBron James in West Hollywood on July 18.

Thompson reportedly confronted Green out of nowhere with what was originally described as a "sucker punch," but then downgraded to "more like a shove," sources told The Athletic's Marcus Thompson.

Green was reportedly "incensed" when the two were separated before a full-blown brawl could break out. Kevin Durant and James were among those who got between them, saying it wasn't the time or place to come to blows.

Cooler heads prevailed, thankfully, as Thompson and Green were reportedly laughing and partying together by the end of the night.

"Man, that wasn’t no fight," said one source. "It was much ado about nothing.”

Taking exception to Shaun Livingston attempting a jumper at the end of overtime in Game 1 of the Finals, Thompson drilled the Warriors guard with a stiff forearm shot and was ejected during the final seconds. Green then clapped and waved at Thompson, who proceeded to shove the ball in his face.

The league came down on him with a $25,000 fine but downgraded his flagrant-2 foul for hitting Livingston to a flagrant-1.

The Warriors went on to take the series in a clean sweep to capture their third title in four years. As the two teams embraced after Game 4, Thompson extended his hand to Green, but the power forward refused to acknowledge him.

"We just cut from a different cloth," Green said during Golden State's championship parade.
