The Tennessee Titans announced Friday they have signed offensive tackle Taylor Lewan to a contract extension.

Lewan will reportedly receive a five-year extension worth $80 million, including $50 million guaranteed, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. The $16 million average annual value would make him the NFL's highest-paid offensive tackle and the highest-paid offensive lineman in league history.

One of the top left tackles in football, Lewan held out of Tennessee's minicamp earlier this offseason amid his contract dispute, but reported to training camp with the hopes that the two sides could soon agree on a deal.

The Titans selected the former Michigan standout No. 11 overall in the 2014 NFL Draft. The 27-year-old has made two Pro Bowls in four seasons with the team.
