Ex-Seahawks CB Browner arrested on kidnapping charges after police chase
Former Seattle Seahawks cornerback Brandon Browner was arrested Sunday following a police chase in Azusa, Calif., according to Joe Studley and Shahan Ahmed of NBC Los Angeles.
Browner was wanted for kidnapping, false imprisonment, burglary, grand theft auto, and violation of restraining order, the La Verne Police Department told NBC Los Angeles.
Police say Browner broke into a house of an ex-girlfriend who has a restraining order against him, threatened to kill her, and stole a Rolex watch valued at about $20,000, according to The Associated Press.
The 33-year-old was arrested on May 6 for battery and child endangerment and pleaded no contest. He was also previously arrested on drug charges last October.
Browner spent 2011-13 with the Seahawks during the prime days of the Legion of Boom, earning a Pro Bowl nod in his first year in Seattle.
