Janoris Jenkins' brother charged in death at cornerback's house
William H. Jenkins, the older brother of the New York Giants' Janoris Jenkins, has been charged with felony aggressive manslaughter after a body was found at the cornerback's residence in Fair Lawn, N.J., the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office announced on Wednesday.
The body was identified Tuesday as Roosevelt Rene, 25, a Jenkins family friend.
The prosecutor's office didn't release further information, but did say Jenkins is in custody. Dennis Calo, the acting prosecutor for Bergen County, said that a formal press release will be issued tomorrow, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
New York's veteran defender wasn't at home during the incident, and has been in Florida since the Giants' offseason training ended for the summer, sources told SI's Jenny Vrentas.
The Giants said Tuesday they are monitoring the situation.
