Watch: Messi's 1st goal of the World Cup is spectacular
Argentina can always count on Lionel Messi.
In a must-win match against Nigeria on Tuesday, the Albiceleste captain scored his first goal of the 2018 World Cup, and in classic Messi fashion, it was an absolute stunner.
A gorgeous ball over the top from Ever Banega hit the diminutive magician in his stride, and Messi did the rest, taking two superb touches before firing the ball home with his right foot in the 14th minute of the contest.
A Messi hat-trick in the final qualifying match got Argentina to the World Cup, and now it's falling on his shoulders once again to keep the South Americans in Russia. So far, he's delivering.
There you are, Leo!
