It's beginning to sound like the reported meeting to mend fences between disgruntled San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard and head coach Gregg Popovich didn't quite go as the franchise had hoped.

The Spurs are "willing listeners" when it comes to offers for the 26-year-old superstar, but aren't actively seeking out proposals, league sources told ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Wojnarowski reported that the Spurs and Los Angeles Lakers had yet to engage in any dialogue about a potential trade for Leonard, but league sources subsequently told Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports that the Lakers have indeed reached out to express their interest in the former Finals MVP. However, they haven't discussed any proposals, according to Charania.

A report from ESPN's Ramona Shelburne concurred, with a Lakers source telling Shelburne the Spurs "basically shut the door on us" regarding a potential deal.

Wojnarowski and Shelburne reported Tuesday that Leonard was not in favor of sitting down with Popovich, and that he'd remained hard to reach because he's still angry about the way the team handled his quad injury - including public comments from Popovich and teammate Tony Parker about the severity of the ailment.
