Andrew Luck: 'Absolutely,' I will play Week 1
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is growing increasingly sure of his ability to start the 2018 season on time.
Luck was firm in his response when asked by reporters if he will be ready for the season opener against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 1.
"Absolutely. No knock on wood. I believe it in my bones," Luck said, according to Kevin Bowen of 1070 The Fan.
Head coach Frank Reich said Luck will feature in the preseason, though he isn't a fan of his starting quarterback playing much during August.
Luck is continuing his recovery from a shoulder injury that cost him the entirety of the 2017 season. He was seen throwing on Tuesday at team practice, though owner Jim Irsay later clarified they were high school-sized footballs.
Luck said he had some soreness - not pain - after throwing, according to NFL Network's Andrew Siciliano.
