Report: Cardinals' Johnson missing practice due to injury

Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Arizona Cardinals running back David Johnson has been held out of certain drills during voluntary organized team activities this week due to an undisclosed injury, reports Kent Somers of azcentral.

Head coach Steve Wilks was vague Thursday when asked about the status of Johnson, who missed nearly all of last season after dislocating his wrist in Week 1.

"It's the offseason, and I'm not going to really indulge in injuries or things like that," he said. "We're going to talk about the guys that are out there."

Johnson was one of the most productive backs in the league two seasons ago, rushing for 1,239 yards and 16 touchdowns while adding 879 yards and four touchdowns receiving.

The Cardinals hold their mandatory minicamp from June 12-14.
