Don't expect a Ball family reunion in Tinseltown.

The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly not considering signing or drafting LiAngelo Ball, the younger brother of last year's No. 2 pick Lonzo Ball, sources told USA TODAY Sports' Sam Amick.

The team hosted LiAngelo for a workout on Tuesday, prompting speculation the franchise could be interested in uniting the two eldest Ball brothers.

LiAngelo, 19, and younger brother LaMelo, 16, both left school last fall at UCLA and Chino Hills High School, respectively, to sign with European pro team BC Vytautas in Prienai, Lithuania.

LiAngelo averaged 12.6 points in 21.2 minutes per game. At 6-foot-5, he projects as a solid outside shooter but doesn't bring the same play-making mentality as brother Lonzo.

In addition to his atypical decision to play overseas this year, LiAngelo also has the baggage of an international incident in China last summer, when he and two of his then-UCLA teammates were arrested for shoplifting. The saga prompted a short-lived feud between LaVar Ball and President Donald Trump and ultimately led to LiAngelo's decision to withdraw from UCLA and forgo his remaining NCAA eligibility.
