Kraft: Brady excited to attend minicamp, has responsibilities outside football

Patriots owner Robert Kraft doesn't appear too concerned about New England beginning organized team activities without their two franchise players - Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Kraft said he's spoken to Brady and confirmed the star quarterback is excited to attend mandatory minicamp, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

"These are voluntary workouts ... I think he's in great shape," Kraft told Rapoport. "I think he's at an age where he's blessed to have three children, has responsibilities. It’s hard to fulfill those during the season."

Kraft also confirmed Gronkowski will participate in minicamp.

Both the quarterback and tight end appear to have a strained relationship with head coach Bill Belichick of late, but Kraft shut down any talk of further dysfunction behind the scenes.

"Nothing's changed. Everything is good," he said.
