Baker Mayfield intends to start for the Cleveland Browns after being chosen with the No. 1 pick in the 2018 draft, but he won't let his competition with designated started Tyrod Taylor distract the team.
"It's not going to be something that separates the locker room,'' Mayfield said Friday before his first rookie minicamp practice, per Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com.
Browns head coach Hue Jackson has been adamant that Taylor, who was acquired via trade with the Buffalo Bills well before the draft, will be the team's starting quarterback in 2018.
