Report: Bears decline 5th-year option on former top-10 pick White

Matt Kartozian / USA Today Sports

The Chicago Bears elected not to pick up the fifth-year team option on wide receiver Kevin White, who they drafted seventh overall in 2015, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

White has battled injuries throughout his first three seasons in the league, appearing in only five contests and collecting 193 receiving yards with no touchdowns.

Chicago's decision not to exercise the option means White will become a free agent after the 2018 campaign.
