Former NBA guard Nick Calathes reportedly intends to return to North America after starring in Europe for the past two years, and is expected to garner interest as a free agent, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.
Since taking his talents to Greek juggernaut Panathinaikos in 2015, Calathes has elevated his game to new heights. In 29 EuroLeague appearances, the 6-foot-6 guard has averaged 14 points, 8.3 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.8 steals. He was named the top defender in the Greek League in 2016 and 2017, and the overall MVP of the domestic circuit for 2017.
In his first go-around in the NBA, Calathes was a minor rotation piece for the Memphis Grizzlies from 2013-15, averaging 4.6 points, 2.7 assists, 1.9 rebounds, and one steal in 15.6 minutes per game.
