Report: Undrafted Barrett spurns Colts tryout for 3-year deal with Saints

Undrafted rookie J.T. Barrett signed a three-year deal with the New Orleans Saints, marking a huge development for the former Ohio State quarterback who initially accepted a tryout invite from the Indianapolis Colts, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The deal doesn't contain any guaranteed money, according to The Advocate's Nick Underhill, but it still gives Barrett a chance to earn the backup job behind Drew Brees in New Orleans.
Barrett reportedly garnered plenty of league-wide interest as a rookie free agent, though it's rare for any player to land a long-term contract after going through all seven rounds of the draft unclaimed.
