Buccaneers investigating online threat toward GM Jason Licht

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are investigating an online threat aimed at general manager Jason Licht.

During the NFL draft on Friday, a Twitter user posted a number of angry tweets in response to the team's selections, including a GIF depicting a murder scene from the movie, "King of New York." The GIF was accompanied by the caption, "When I see Jason Licht the next time I roll through Tampa."

The user insists there was nothing serious to the tweet and that he was angry the team didn't select Florida State safety Derwin James.

"That was a total exaggeration," Mike Rogers, the man responsible for the tweet, told Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. "Just caught up in the moment. It was just a tasteless tweet. I'm not a psychopath."

Licht is aware of the now-deleted tweet but offered no comment in response.
