As Jason Witten ponders whether to return to the Dallas Cowboys or join a network broadcast booth, details have emerged on what his potential salary would be on ESPN's "Monday Night Football."

Sources told David Moore of The Dallas Morning News that ESPN would pay Witten in the neighborhood of $4 million to $4.5 million per season, significantly more than he would make as a member of the Cowboys in 2018.

The veteran tight end is set to earn a base salary of $1.05 million from the Cowboys with a potential of up to $750,000 in per-game roster bonuses should he play the 2018 campaign.

While $4 million is a significant sum, it's much less than Jon Gruden made in the ESPN booth before leaving for the Oakland Raiders. Gruden spent nine years broadcasting on Monday nights and earned over $6 million per season.
