Cowboys deal Ryan Switzer to Raiders for Jihad Ward
The Oakland Raiders added more talent to the receiver room on Saturday as the club acquired Ryan Switzer from the Dallas Cowboys for defensive tackle Jihad Ward.
The move, which was announced during the NFL draft broadcast, is the latest deal the Raiders have made to add talent to the passing game for quarterback Derek Carr.
New coach Jon Gruden already added Martavis Bryant from the Pittsburgh Steelers in a trade during the draft, and the club selected Oklahoma State standout Marcell Ateman in the seventh round.
Switzer saw limited time with the Cowboys during his rookie campaign, but did catch four passes for 32 yards in the season finale against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Ward, who was the 44th overall pick of the 2016 draft, never really developed at the defensive tackle spot for the Raiders and will look for a fresh start in Dallas.
