Pat Shurmur: Beckham will 'absolutely' be on Giants in 2018

New York Giants head coach Pat Shurmur shredded whatever was left of the Odell Beckham Jr. trade rumors Tuesday, saying the wide receiver will "absolutely" be on the team in 2018, according to NFL Network's Kimberly Jones.

Beckham was present Tuesday morning for the beginning of the Giants' first offseason minicamp, though he sat out most of practice to continue rehab on his ankle. The 25-year-old missed 12 contests a season ago after suffering a fractured ankle in Week 4.

Despite the anxiety he's exhibited over his contract situation, Beckham also attended the Giants' voluntary offseason workouts earlier this April. There's no indication that Beckham and the Giants are any closer to hammering out a new deal than they were a few weeks ago. He has one year left on his rookie contract.

In other Giants news, the club has had trade discussions involving embattled left tackle Ereck Flowers, who's stayed away from voluntary workouts, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
