5 guests we'd like to see announce Day 3 draft picks

NFL teams are given creative freedom for their draft pick announcements on Day 3 of the annual event by being allowed to have honorary guests make the choices for rounds 4-7.

Having former players, super fans, celebrity fans, or even animal mascots announce the choices provides some more entertainment for the home audience once the players being selected become a little less recognizable.

Currently scheduled guests for the 2018 draft include members of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School football team on behalf of the Miami Dolphins, an actual parrot for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and part of the cast of Star Wars for the San Francisco 49ers.

Here are five more guests we'd like to see get the honor on Saturday.

Frank Caliendo as Jon Gruden, Raiders

Comedian/impressionist Frank Caliendo has risen to fame in NFL circles for his spot-on renditions of John Madden, Rex Ryan, Rob Ryan, Bill Belichick, and, perhaps most notably, new Raiders head coach Jon Gruden.

The Raiders have already given the responsibility to youth football players from Las Vegas - the team's future home - but Caliendo would help liven things up in a sixth round that has the Raiders scheduled to make four announcements.

Drunk Kevin Hart, Eagles

Philadelphia native and comedic superstar Kevin Hart has surpassed the likes of Will Smith to be the most notable Eagles fan following his celebratory antics in the immediate aftermath of Super Bowl LII.

Hart deserves a shot at redemption while continuing the celebration in Dallas.

Gronk (no, not that one), Patriots

Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is fully capable of providing enough entertainment on his own, but the Patriots could opt to follow the Buccaneers' lead by having his new investment deliver one of the team's later-round picks.

The future Hall of Famer recently purchased a stake in a horse that shared his name and had qualified for the Kentucky Derby. The horse was ruled out of the Run for the Roses on Monday, giving it the time to participate in this weekend's activities.

The Dalai Lama, Packers

So we got this going for us....which is nice. #dalailama

Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and girlfriend Danica Patrick were recently on a humanitarian mission in India where they met with the Dalai Lama and gifted him a team hat and a football, unofficially converting him to a Cheesehead.

Having the spiritual leader announce the team's 2018 picks could only be a good omen for the coming season.

Kevin Costner as Sonny Weaver Jr., Browns

The Browns hope to finally change their course with an abundance of early-round draft selections, but allowing the star of the 2014 film Draft Day to reprise his managerial role on Saturday could inspire some movie magic.
