Celtics' Morris fined $15K for criticizing officials
Marcus Morris of the Boston Celtics has been fined $15,000 by the NBA for public criticism of officiating, the league announced Saturday.
Morris told reporters after Boston's Game 3 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks Friday that he felt targeted by referees after receiving a technical foul. "It's been the same s--- all year. I'm expecting it," Morris said. "They knew who they wanted to go after. So that's on (the referees)."
Morris may have landed in some officials' bad books when he playfully smacked a referee's backside during a late-season win over the Toronto Raptors.
Morris' fine was announced minutes before his twin brother Markieff received a $25,000 fine for making contact with an official in Game 3 of Washington's playoff series with Toronto.
