Report: Kurt Warner strong candidate for 'MNF' analyst role

After whiffing on Peyton Manning and rolling through a list of other potential candidates, ESPN could zero in on Kurt Warner as the next analyst for Monday Night Football.
Warner has had multiple discussions with ESPN about the position and is under "serious consideration" for the role, a source told A.J. Perez and Jeff Zillgitt of USA TODAY Sports.
The two-time NFL MVP has served as a studio analyst for NFL Network since hanging up his cleats in 2010. If hired by ESPN, he'd fill the spot vacated by Oakland Raiders coach Jon Gruden.
