The NBA G League announced Tuesday it's raising player salaries from $19,000 or $26,000 to $35,000 starting next season. That equates to $7,000 per month over the 50-game, five-month regular season.

Two-way players will also get a raise, earning $77,250 and up to $385,000 when combined with days of service in the NBA. They previously made $75,000 and up to $275,000. All 30 NBA teams signed two-way contracts in 2017-18.

G Leaguers receive in-season housing, per diem allowances on travel days, educational opportunities, and health insurance benefits. They can earn additional income through affiliate player bonuses, NBA call-ups, end-of-season performance awards, and G League playoff appearances.

NBA commissioner Adam Silver floated the idea of combating corruption in the NCAA by developing 18-year-olds in the G League. The knock on the development league has long been its low wages, pushing prospects to college (where some receive under-the-table funds) or overseas (where the salaries are more competitive).
