It's been an offseason of change for the Green Bay Packers, whether star quarterback Aaron Rodgers likes it or not.

The face of the franchise was asked about the team's recent transactions, in particular its decision to cut longtime teammate and target Jordy Nelson.

"It's the tough part of the business, when you get close to guys and spend a lot of time with them and play with them for a long time and then not able to finish up with them," Rodgers said last week on 102.9 FM The Hog's "Bob & Brian" show.

When asked if he'd be involved at all in draft preparations, Rodgers made it clear he's not kept abreast of the team's decisions and intentions.

"I think it's pretty clear that players play and coaches coach and personnel people make their decisions. That's the way they want it," he said.

Though Rodgers lost Nelson and quarterbacks coach Alex Van Pelt, who also was not retained by the team, he expressed his appreciation for the signing of tight end Jimmy Graham and the return of former offensive coordinator Joe Philbin to fill the role again.
