The Cleveland Browns have selected quarterback Baker Mayfield out of Oklahoma with the first overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.

The move comes as somewhat of a surprise as the 2017 Heisman Trophy winner wasn't mentioned among the possible top picks until Wednesday, but vaulted to the top of the board in the last 24 hours.

Mayfield, who is among the most accomplished pivots in college football history, becomes the sixth quarterback the Browns have drafted since 2010. While he will certainly go to Cleveland's camp with a ton of hype, it's not guaranteed he will be the starter after the club acquired Tyrod Taylor in the offseason.
