Steve Barton stretchered off after hitting head on ice

Linesman Steve Barton was removed from the ice on a stretcher in the first period of Tuesday's contest between the Edmonton Oilers and Columbus Blue Jackets.
Barton hit his head on the ice after a collision with Connor McDavid, and was motionless before being attended to by medical staff.

There's no word on Barton's condition, though he did appear alert and gave the crowd a thumbs up before exiting the ice.
