Nick Foles is still a Philadelphia Eagle, and head coach Doug Pederson doesn't expect that to change before the beginning of the 2018 season.

Pederson told ESPN's Sal Paolantonio on Tuesday that it's "safe to say" Foles will open the campaign with the Eagles, despite obvious trade interest in the reigning Super Bowl MVP.

Whether Foles actually starts another game in Philadelphia remains to be seen, as Carson Wentz is said to be ahead of schedule in his recovery from a torn ACL.

Foles threw for 971 yards with six touchdowns and one interception in three playoff contests at the end of the 2017 season.
