The Indianapolis Colts recently turned down two trade offers for quarterback Jacoby Brissett, a league source told Stephen Holder of the Indianapolis Star.

It's unclear which teams submitted the offers, but the Colts are said to strongly value Brissett. He started 15 games last season in place of the injured Andrew Luck, after being acquired from the New England Patriots days ahead of the season-opener.

Brissett is expected to move back to the bench this season, but that's assuming Luck is healthy throughout the 2018 season. Luck continues to work his way back from a shoulder injury and is expected to take part in offseason workouts in April.

The 24-year-old Brissett threw for 3,098 yards with 13 touchdowns and seven interceptions a year ago. He has two seasons left on his rookie contract, and is scheduled to earn less than $1 million both years.
