Report: Braves sign Bourjos to 1-year, $1M deal

The Atlanta Braves have reportedly added to their outfield depth by signing Peter Bourjos to a one-year, $1-million contract, according to Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

Bourjos originally signed a minor-league deal with the Chicago Cubs in February before he was released on Friday.

He will likely serve as the team's fourth outfielder, able to spend time at all three positions in place of Ender Inciarte, Nick Markakis, and Preston Tucker.

The 30-year-old journeyman played 100 games for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2017, batting .223/.272/.383 with five home runs and five stolen bases. Despite the limited action, he still put together a solid defensive campaign, recording six defensive runs saved.
