Eagles' Pederson: Trade offers for Foles were 'nothing too crazy'

The Eagles were reportedly seeking more than first- and fourth-round picks in exchange for Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles this offseason, but apparently Philadelphia didn't receive any offers that came near its hefty asking price.

"We did not," Pederson said to NFL Network's Steve Wyche when asked if the team got any interesting trade offers for Foles, according to NFL.com's Edward Lewis. "Nothing too crazy. It had to be the right deal for us to do that. But there wasn't anything coming down our way for Nick."

While Carson Wentz believes he'll be ready for the start of the 2018 season after tearing his ACL in December, the Eagles likely don't want to lose their top-tier insurance policy unless an offer blows them away.

If a starting quarterback on another team suffers a major injury during training camp, and Wentz continues to make strides, Philly may then be tempted to offload Foles for significant future draft assets.

But until then, it appears Philadelphia's Super Bowl hero is staying put.
