Manziel sings Kaepernick's praises, wants comparisons to stop
Johnny Manziel's latest attempt to return to an NFL field has been met with varying reactions from the football world.
There's one particular response he doesn't quite feel right seeing.
This will probably cause an uproar, but I’m tired of the @Kaepernick7 vs myself comparisons and anger. Kap is doing amazing things right now changing lives and donating millions of dollars. His impact off the field from a societal standpoint is legendary and straight admirable.

Kaepernick hasn't featured in the NFL since the 2016 season, when he appeared in 12 games for the San Francisco 49ers. Manziel, meanwhile, hasn't played since 2015, and recently detailed an ongoing battle with mental illness.
Manziel, who recently worked out in front of NFL scouts at the University of San Diego pro day, says he's a big fan of Kaepernick's work, and he deserves to be playing in the NFL, if that's what he wants to do.

The facts of the matter are the reason he’s not being signed are non football based. The guy took a team to the Super Bowl and continuously wreaked havoc on the NFC West and the league. Maybe he had a bad year two years ago but he’s not a bad player and that’s a fact..
