The Green Bay Packers hosted receiver Jordan Matthews on a free-agent visit Thursday, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Matthews, a former second-round pick, spent last season with the Buffalo Bills producing his worst output to date as he caught 25 passes for 282 yards with one touchdown through 10 games.

The 25-year-old had his best year in 2015 when he made 85 catches for 997 yards with eight touchdowns for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Packers said goodbye to Jordy Nelson this offseason, leaving an opening for a new starting receiver in their offense.
