The Green Bay Packers selected defensive lineman James Looney out of California with the 232nd overall pick in the seventh round of the 2018 NFL Draft.
Looney likely won't project as a significant player right away, but could be a solid depth piece as a run-stopper in the future for the Packers' defense.

What the analysts are saying
- "Looney's quickness and disruptive qualities were on full display in 2016, but he was much easier to block in 2017." - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
- "Agile, strong, and experienced now in multiple schemes and positions, Looney may prove one of the more under-appreciated defensive linemen of the 2018 class." - Dane Brugler, NFLDraftScout.com
