Raiders select P Johnny Townsend in 5th round

The Oakland Raiders have selected punter Johnny Townsend out of Florida with the 173rd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Townsend was effective in the field-position game as a member of the Gators, pinning a number of punts inside the 20-yard line.

Oakland was bound to draft a punter this year with only Colby Wadman on the roster.
