Ryan Grant signs with Colts
Free-agent wide receiver Ryan Grant signed with the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, as first reported by James Jones of NFL Network.
The deal is a one-year, $5-million contract, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Grant visited with the Colts and Oakland Raiders after a failed physical nixed his agreed four-year, $29-million deal with the Baltimore Ravens.
He and his agent believe the Ravens used the failed physical as a means of voiding the deal in order to sign wide receiver Michael Crabtree, who was released by the Raiders later in the week, according to Stephen Holder of the Indy Star.
Grant, a former fifth-round pick of the Washington Redskins, enjoyed a career year in 2017, catching 45 of 65 targets for 573 yards and four touchdowns.
He's the Colts' second pass-catching addition in as many days after they added tight end Eric Ebron on Monday.
