Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Noah Hanifin has been sidelined indefinitely with a concussion, the team announced Monday.
Hanifin missed Sunday's contest against the New York Islanders with what the Hurricanes described as an upper-body injury.
In 71 contests this season, Hanifin has recorded eight goals and 21 assists. He ranks fifth among Carolina blue-liners in ice time at nearly 19 minutes per game.
