Mike Pouncey, Chargers agree to 2-year deal

Former Miami Dolphins center Mike Pouncey has agreed to terms with the Los Angeles Chargers on a two-year contract, the team announced Monday. The deal is worth $15 million with $10 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The three-time Pro Bowler was on a visit with the Chargers when he agreed to join the team. He is projected to start at center in between Forrest Lamp and Dan Feeney, who were drafted in the second and third round, respectively, last spring.

Pouncey was granted his release from the Dolphins last Thursday after requesting to hit the market, alleviating $7 million in cap space for Miami.

The 28-year-old had spent his entire seven-year career to date with the Dolphins, starting every game he was active for, including all 16 contests last season. The former 15th overall pick is the identical twin brother of Pittsburgh Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey.
