The Minnesota Vikings agreed to a deal with defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson, the team confirmed Friday.

Terms of the contract were not revealed by the Vikings, but Richardson reportedly joins on a one-year deal worth $8 million in base salary with an additional $3 million in incentives, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Richardson recorded 44 tackles, one sack, a forced fumble, and an interception during 15 games with the Seattle Seahawks in 2017.

"(Minnesota) gave me a better offer than Seattle did," Richardson said to Chris Tomasson of the St. Paul Pioneer Press.

The Vikings appear to be going all-in for a Super Bowl in 2018 after signing quarterback Kirk Cousins earlier in the week and now securing one of the best defensive free agents available in Richardson.

"I wanted the best opportunity to win the Super Bowl. I feel like this is it," Richardson said.

Richardson won Defensive Rookie of the Year in 2013 and was named to the Pro Bowl in 2014.
