Report: Redskins expected to sign Paul Richardson to 5-year, $40M contract

The free-agent wide receiver market continues to dry up.

The Washington Redskins are expected to sign former Seattle Seahawks receiver Paul Richardson to a five-year deal worth $40 million, with $20 million guaranteed, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Richardson had temporarily been the top available receiver, following the reported signings of Sammy Watkins and Allen Robinson earlier Tuesday.

Richardson, who'll turn 26 years old in mid-April, was originally drafted by the Seahawks 45th overall in 2014. He enjoyed a career year in 2017, starting 13 of 16 games played and catching 44 of 80 targets for 703 yards and six touchdowns.

He'll join a Redskins' receiving corps that includes Josh Doctson and Jamison Crowder.
