Manziel: I would join Patriots 'in a heartbeat' to be Brady's backup
Johnny Manziel says he would jump at the chance to serve as Tom Brady's backup.
"I'll go to New England in a heartbeat," Manziel told TMZ Sports over the weekend, adding that he doesn't think there would be pressure because "you learn from the GOAT."
His comments come after former NFL wide receiver and current NFL Network analyst Nate Burleson explained why Manziel could be a good fit for the Patriots.
Manziel wore a Brady jersey to the Patriots' 2016 AFC Championship Game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and cheered on New England in Super Bowl LII.
