Report: Bills to sign Lotulelei to 5-year contract

The reconstruction of the Buffalo Bills' defensive line continues.

The Bills intend to sign defensive tackle Star Lotulelei to a five-year deal, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports, citing a source.

Buffalo traded defensive tackle Marcell Dareus to the Jacksonville Jaguars in October and Kyle Williams is expected to hit free agency. With the addition of Lotulelei, the Bills are making strides to improve their 29th-ranked run defense.

The move reunites Lotulelei with Sean McDermott. The Bills head coach was the Carolina Panthers' defensive coordinator for the first five years of Lotulelei's career.

In five seasons, Lotulelei has 141 career tackles and 11.5 sacks.
