Former Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith pleaded not guilty during his arraignment Monday, facing misdemeanor counts of domestic violence, assault, false imprisonment, and vandalism, San Francisco District Attorney spokesperson Alex Bastian confirmed to TMZ Sports.
Smith is expected back in court on April 5.
The linebacker turned himself into San Francisco Police on March 6 after police had obtained a warrant for his arrest the previous day. Smith's fiancee, Shawna McKnight, said she was the victim in the incident and that the linebacker called her parents, asking them to check him into a rehab facility, with which they complied.
Smith was released by the Raiders on March 5.
